Position Overview
We are looking for a professional Tandoori Chef is responsible for the preparation, marination, and cooking of dishes in a tandoor oven, such as naan bread, tandoori chicken, kebabs, and other tandoori specialties. They are skilled in working with various meats and ingredients to create flavorful and well-cooked dishes while maintaining kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare marination for meats and other ingredients, ensuring that they are adequately seasoned and flavored before cooking.
- Utilize the tandoor oven to prepare a variety of dishes, including bread, meats,and vegetables, by marinating and skewering them appropriately.
- Food Preparation Properly cut, skewer, and arrange food items for tandoor cooking.
- Monitor and maintain the tandoor oven’s temperature to ensure dishes are cooked to perfection.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of raw and cooked foods to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with the head chef to create and innovate tandoori dishes for the restaurant’s menu.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in tandoor cooking.
- Regularly clean and maintain the tandoor oven to ensure it functions correctly and adheres to hygiene standards.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of tandoor dishes with other menu items.
- Prior experience as a Tandoori Chef in Peshawari or South Asian restaurant is typically preferred.
- Proficiency in using tandoor ovens and traditional tandoori cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of various spices and herbs used in tandoori cuisine.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualification
Any hotel Management degree or Diploma will be a plus
