Position Overview

We are looking for a professional Tandoori Chef is responsible for the preparation, marination, and cooking of dishes in a tandoor oven, such as naan bread, tandoori chicken, kebabs, and other tandoori specialties. They are skilled in working with various meats and ingredients to create flavorful and well-cooked dishes while maintaining kitchen safety and hygiene standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare marination for meats and other ingredients, ensuring that they are adequately seasoned and flavored before cooking.
  • Utilize the tandoor oven to prepare a variety of dishes, including bread, meats,and vegetables, by marinating and skewering them appropriately.
  • Food Preparation Properly cut, skewer, and arrange food items for tandoor cooking.
  • Monitor and maintain the tandoor oven’s temperature to ensure dishes are cooked to perfection.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of raw and cooked foods to prevent contamination.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to create and innovate tandoori dishes for the restaurant’s menu.
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in tandoor cooking.
  • Regularly clean and maintain the tandoor oven to ensure it functions correctly and adheres to hygiene standards.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of tandoor dishes with other menu items.
  • Prior experience as a Tandoori Chef in Peshawari or South Asian restaurant is typically preferred.
  • Proficiency in using tandoor ovens and traditional tandoori cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of various spices and herbs used in tandoori cuisine.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualification

Any hotel Management degree or Diploma will be a plus
