Position Overview:
We are looking for a professional Sous Chef who is ensuring the elements of a Peshawari cuisine are properly prepared and ready to be served and maintaining kitchen safety and hygiene standards. Sous chef plays a crucial role in the restaurant culinary operation of the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure the preparation and presentation of high quality dishes.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Directs food preparation and collaborates with head chef.
- Strong Knowledge of Peshawari culinary traditions, spices and cooking techniques.
- Participating in planning the menus for parties and special occasions in the restaurant.
- Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.
- Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
- Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition.
- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.Schedules staff shifts
- Orders food supplies.
- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.
- Cleaning and organising the food preparation area for the Head Chef
- Delivering the ingredients that the Head Chef needs to prepare to the food preparation area
- Ensuring the Line and Prep Cooks prepare the dishes according to the Head Chef’s specifications and standards
- Training new kitchen employees on the restaurant’s standards and regulations
- Addressing and resolving diners’ and clients’ complaints quickly
- Monitoring the kitchen area and the staff to ensure sanitation standards are maintained
- Ensuring all food products to be prepared are not expired
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Report any defective equipment or safety hazards within the kitchen

- Knowledge of professional kitchen and work under pressure.
Qualification:
Any HOTEL MANAGEMENT degree or diploma will be a plus.
